Moon Rock Textured Bowl
Soldate 60
Matte Black exterior
Gloss Black inside
Kinda ambivalent about this bowl...
I like the graphite quality to the exterior glaze, but not happy with the inside. It turned an uneven brown.
Handbuilt Mess
Soldate 60
Heavenly Lavender
I worked so HARD on this bowl and it came out a mess....much too much glaze.

Handbuilt Bowl
Soldate 60
White Gloss
2nd attempt with gloss white on soldate - I thought I applied the glaze pretty heavy, but the soldate still showed through...

Porcelain Lamp
Coleman Porcelain
Unglazed
This lamp was the best piece to turn out from my handbuilding class.
Really shrunk a lot - at some point I need to remake the base larger, so it is more stable.
Maybe make some more - glazed?
Soldate 60
Korean Blue
This large platter was more bowl shaped, but flattened in the kiln.
Again, I scraped off too much glaze....
Bowls over Plaster Forms
Soldate 60 with Porcelain inlays
LongBeach Blue
Disaster!! The Inlay was ugly.
This bowl also warped in the kiln - too thin?
Soldate 60
White Gloss
This was the second attempt at this bowl after I broke the first one.
I scraped off too much glaze and the exposed soldate looked messy - I need to work on my glazing!

First Day
Soldate 60
Vegas Red
I like this weird persimmon shape one!
Soldate 60
Mag Yellow / Long Beach Blue drips
Glaze ran
Soldate 60
Green? / LongBeach Blue drips
Disaster!
My First Piece
Soldate 60
Gloss white wite shino tea glaze
This is the first piece I made in my handbuilding class. It looks better in the photo than in real life.
